Hello scrapbook page

I have two current favourite colours- petunia pop (one of the new incolours) and Pretty Peacock (a returning favourite) and they both feature in todays scrapbook page. This layout was cased from the scrapbook pages shared by @merrick_makings (Thankyou for the inspiration Rachael). I’ve also used  some of the new ephemera packs- fully flowering and saying something ephemera packs. The new papers come from four different dsp packs- thoughtful journey, in colour, thoughtful designs, and 2024-2026 in colour glimmer specialty paper. I’ve also used the new bordered ribbon in Petunia Pop and some bakers twine. This page also features lots of wink of Stella on the flowers, sentiment and sentiment background for that added pop of sparkle!

I don’t usually share photos of myself, but these colours and this layout encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and make a scrapbook page featuring myself.

You can shop all of these items in my online store.

Until next time,

Layers of beauty cards

Today ‘d like to share with you are series of cards created using the card layers of beauty bundle. This bundle features stamps, dies and decorative masks.

The first card features roses that are created by layering the same colour to create depth to the flower petals. The rose is made using Pretty in Pink ink on a base card of Summer Splash. I really am loving exploring using the new in colours this year.

The next card features all of the new incolours.
The roses are in Petunia Pop and Peach Pie, with the leaves in Shy Shamrock and Summer Splash.
The sentiment is on Pretty in Pink card and I’ve scattered gems around the petals for that extra pop of sparkle.

My final card also features the distressed tile embossed background, and petunia pop 1cm bordered ribbon.
I wasn’t too sure about Peach Pie to start with, I’m not usually a fan of yellows and orange,  it it is certainly growing on me!

Until next time,
Happy crafting.

Another Scrapbook page

I have never been a fan of of the 2023-2025 incolour wild wheat (I think it looks like baby poop) BUT when combined with summer splash, one of the new 2024-2026 in colours it looks amazing! This scrapbook page features so many new products. The sentiment is from the thoughtful journey memories and more card pack, there are three different packs of papers represented- unbounded beauty, thoughtful journey and incolour, and 2024-2026 incolour shimmer gems. I’ve also added some old favorites- love this moment stampset and spots and dots die (retired). These colours really enhance these photos of my gorgeous niece who was enthralled while watching the penguins swim at the aquarium.

You can shop last all of these  items in my online store from TODAY!

Over the past few years, I have enjoyed discovering stamping and card making. But my journey into paper crafting started with scrapbooking.

As my nieces and nephews have got older and have resisted having their photos taken, I found myself creating less scrapbook pages. But recently I have found myself finding different things to scrapbook, including our family heritage.

Here’s a simple page created to celebrate my great aunts wedding. It features dsp created using dry embossing and ink, stamping, die cuts and some retired papers from Stampin up.

Leaf collection cards for avid crafters.

My final set of cards using the leaf collection stamp is the most stepped up. It includes all the elements of the previous cards, stamping and emobossing, but is enhanced by fussy cutting the leaves and attached to the cards using dimensionals.

These cards can be created in either landscape or portrait orientation and are again perfect for different occasions.
The sentiment is on card cut using the unbounded beauty dies and the outer frame is heat embossed as well. It is also raised by glueing together multiple layers of the outer die.
A ribbon, a bow and some gems finish off the card.

These cards were time consuming- but they are so worth the effort!

Until next time,
Happy crafting.

Leaf collection stamp for a casual stamper

Here’s another set of cards made using the leaf collection stamp. These cards feature heat embossing to step up the card set for a more casual or intermediate stamper.

The stamp was inked using versamark ink and sprinkled with the clear embossing powder and heated using the heating tool. I love the texture the leaves gain from the embossing.

I’ve also added a bit of dimension to the sentiment by placing a white circle and using two shapes die cut in both the incolour and white. I cut the incolour piece in half and glued it under the white shape to create an enhanced boarder for the sentiment.

I love how these cards turned out and again, they can be used for any occasion.

Thankyou for reading. Until next time,
Happy crafting.

Basic cards using leaf collection stamp.

I love this years in colours. I think it’s the first time I have loved all of them. Usually I like one or two of the colours and am happy to pass on the rest, but this round I had to get all of them!

Here’s a simple set of cards made using tone on tone stamping featuring the leaf collection stamp and the new incolours.

This card simply involves stamping onto a mat and adding it onto a card base of the same colour. I’ve added a sentiment stamped on white card and a piece of ribbon for texture with some gems to finish the card.

These cards  are super quick and easy to make and can be used for any occasion.

Thanks for reading and until next time,

Happy crafting.

Spotlight on Nature sketch 3.

It’s time to share my final set of cards made from sketches provided at onstage. This one only has two cards- because I ran out of fluid watercolour paper!

The first card uses stamping as the main feature. The images are stamped onto the fluid water colour paper as it provides a different texture than the usual card. The leaves are stamped multiple times and the butterfly placed above it. The sentiment to the side and some gems for bling. This card is perfect for your beginner and casual stampers.

The final card includes techniques of stamping on the base card and inking the edges, water colouring the leaves in two tones of green using water painters, an additional mat to the sentiment and the butterfly is fussy cut and raised using dimensionals. Additional bling was added to the butterfly using wink of Stella. This card can be used to inspire both casual and avid stampers.

Here are the two cards side by side and you can see that they are both stunning in different ways.

Thanks for reading, until next time,

Happy crafting.

Another set of Spotlight on Nature cards

In my previous blog I shared a series of cards using the Spotlight on Nature stamps and a sketch provided to us at OnStage.
Today I get to share another sketch and three different takes on this sketch using the same stamps.

Here is the sketch. You can see if has a base mat, plus two additional mats with some ribbon and a sentiment over the top.

Below is my beginners take on this card. It features a simple stamped tone on tone image and only one mat. This is to allow the beginning stamper the opportunity of experiencing the joy of placing the stamp for the first time. A sentiment is added across the front of the stamped image and some bling to finish it off.

The second card is for the more casual stamper- someone who wants a bit more of a challenge and features a few more techniques as well. The mat is stamped with the leaf stamp to provide texture. The flowers were stamped over two squares of card. There are different ways to do this- I chose to secure the card before stamping. You will notice that this card features an over stamp- I managed to get ink on the edge of the stamp and this ended up on my card. I think it’s important to make mistakes- no one is perfect and this makes crafting more accessible. The card is finished with the sentiment placed to the side of the image and a swirl of twine as well.

The final card is for the more avid stamper. Someone who wants additional challenge and likes to play around with different techniques. The base mat is stamped with the leaf stamp using tone on tone. Ink is then added around the edges using blending brushes, again using the same coloured ink to provide a rich depth of colour. This time the flowers were stamped on to the pieces of card separately using versa mark ink and then coloured using Stampin blends. Before layering the cards, they were also inked around the edges. Finally the flower image was stamped onto fluid water colour paper and just the flowers were coloured using water painters and ink. These were fussy cut and applied to the card using dimensionals for added dimension. The sentiment and a bow of twine finished off the card.

Here are all three cards together. I think they look amazing and are all stunning in their own way.

Thanks for reading, until next time.
