Meant to Bee Quick and Basic card

Hello and Welcome back.

Today I wanted to share a quick card using the Meant to Bee bundle.

This card uses the Cute as can Bee DSP which is placed on a background of Old Olive card that has been embossed using the starstruck embossing folder for added texture. I added extra depth by adding Old Olive ink using the blending brushes.

I have stamped and die cut the bee's and then added the sentiment and finished with some extra bling using the 2024-2026 In Colour Shimmer Gems.

Meant to bee W-V Fun Fold Card

Hello and Welcome back.

I came across another blog that showcased this amazing fun fold card and was determined to give it ago myself. This fantastic fold is called a W-V fold card and it get's it's name from the two shapes the folds of the card makes - the W folds on the front of the card and V that joins the 2 mountain folds of the W.

It took a little longer than usual to make this card, because I wanted to use the hexagons from the Meant to Bee dies for the V shape and it required a little bit of concentration to get the placement right.

 

To make this card you need ( I have included cm measurements, however they might not be exact as I rather working in inches).

Card base: 5 1/2 x 11" scored on the long side at 1 3/4", 3 1/2", 5 1/4" and 7" 

                  14 x 28 cm scored at 4.4, 8.8, 13.3 and 17.7 cm

DSP: 1 1/2 x 5 1/4 (cut 4) W fold strips (3.8 x 13.3 cm)

          3 1/2 x 5 1/4 Back of card (9.5 x 13.3 cm)

V fold: 6 x 3 1/2" piece Old Olive Card, scored at 3 and folded in half, then cut out using the Hexagon die. Make sure that you place one end of the hexagon die off the end of the platform so that you don't cut all the way through it and create the V fold.

Have other scraps of DSP and Card to decorate the hexagons and add other decorations as required.

Bee My Valentine Book fold card

 

Hello,

Today's card is a book fold card.

I think that a book fold card is one of the easiest fancy fold cards you can make.

 

To make a book fold card start by cutting your A4 piece of card in half - 4 1/8" or 10.5 cm

Score at 5 3/4" or 14.7 cm and fold to create your basic side fold card.

Then score 1" or 2.6 cm from the middle fold to create the book.

Then you decorate however you want to.

I've used the retired Cute as can bee DSP and Bee my Valentine Bundle for this card. 

I cut purple piece of DSP at 7/8" or 2.3cm and adhered it to the front of the card. I then added some Petunia Pop Boarded Ribbon over the top and then glued the small side panel down.

I then cut a 4 5/8 x 4 or 11.8 x 10.2cm piece of DSP for the front cover and added the sentiment using scraps of card.

Inside I added a 4 5/8 x 4" or 11.8 x 10.2 cm piece of Basic White card and decorated with the hexagon stamp and bee from the Bee my Valentine stamp set and bee builder punch.

It really is a quick and easy card.
