Baby Scrapbook page

I was introduced to Scrapbooking many years ago and fell in love with this form of visual memory keeping. After the younger members of my family started growing and stopped allowing me to take their photo's, I pivoted to card making as a way of expressing my creativity.

But now, we have a new generation in our family and I can indulge in my love of scrapbooking again.

I have always loved a clean page where the photos tell the main part of the story and the elements and papers enhance it.

I love the simplicity of this layout. It uses minimal DSP, and the flower element hug the photos to make them the central focus of the page.

I've added texture and depth to the flowers using tone on tone blending pens and then used dimensionals to create different layers in the flowers and leaves.

To create the title, I stamped the sentiment and fussy cut around it. I am not a fan of fussy cutting, I prefer to use a die to cut around sentiments, however I saw a quick tip where you lightly trace around the stamp with a pencil to create a line to cut around - this tip has been a game changer for me.

Some of the DSP and stamps used in these pages are from my stash and are no longer available, however most of the items are available from my online store using the links below.

I hope you enjoyed this page as much as I do. Let me know what you think my commenting below.

Until next time,

Happy Crafting.

Welcome Baby

The inspiration for todays card came from a Global Design Project Colour Challenge - which features the colours Night of Navy, Azure Afternoon and Balmy Blue, and; the Stampin' Up Creative Challenge for January - which is a sketch challenge.

For my card, I used the Welcome Baby stamp set from the new January-April 2026 mini catalogue. This stamp set is so cute with a range of different baby related icons and sentiments. If you would like to have a go at making this card yourself, I've put the measurements I've used for my card at the end.

Measurements:

Card base - 1/2 A4 card stock
Base Mat - 3 7/8 x 5 11/16

I've added number to the template so that you can see where each piece goes.

Layers 1, 2 and 3 used Balmy Blue
1 - 2 1/4 x 1 1/2
2 - 2 1/2 x 1
3 - 1 x 1

Layers 4 and 5 used Azure Afternoon
4 - 2 /1/2 x 2
5 - 2 x 1 1/8

Layers 6, 7 and 8 used Night of Navy
6 - 7/8 x 7/8
7 - 1 1/2 x 3/4
8 - 1 1/2 x 2

The sentiment was stamped on a scrap of white card measuring 3/4 x 1 5/8 and this was placed over layer 5.

I stamped all the images onto white card and fuzzy cut them out. Some of the images have been applied with dimensionals to give them extra depth.

A 5/16 x 5 11/15 strip of Night of Navy was ran through the retired mini corrugated 3D embossing folder and placed to the left hand side.

Then because I likes the layout so much - I had to make another one in pinks and then another in yellows!

I hope you like these cards, please feel free to comment and share if you use these measurements, I'd love to see what you make.

If you live in Australia and do not have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I would love to help you, you can contact me by leaving a message or send me an email at madejustforyoubysis@gmail.com

I have placed the list of supplies I've used for these cards below along with links to my online store.
