Hello and Welcome Back,
Today I am sharing a Hexagon box which I've decorated with the Darling Dino stamp set.
I made these boxes as an Easter gift for some of my colleagues. They were big enough to contain a wind up Easter toy and 10 small Cadbury eggs. They were a huge hit with my colleagues.
This box is made with one piece of card measuring 10 1/4 x 6 3/4" or 26 x 17cm
Score long side at 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10" or 5, 10, 15, 20, 25cm.
Score short side at 2" or 5 cm from each end.
Cut one of the ends along the score line to the first score line.
Turn card 180 degree's and then mark the middle of each square at 1" or 2.5 cm.
Score corner of each square to the mark in the middle as shown in orange lines below.
Cut away the small flap at the bottom - marking in blue below
Now you fold all the score lines - orange alternating valley and mountain folds and the red folds all the same way.
Apply glue to the small flap and fold over the other end to create the box.
Fold in the cut ends, taking care to not apply glue where you don't want it to go.
Punch holes on the tops of the box and thread ribbon through to create the box closure.
Then you decorate any way you like. I've used the Darling Dinos stamps and dies and on other boxes that I made I used the leaf stamp to create bunny ears so that my Dinosaurs were a little bit more Easter like.
If you live in Australia and don't already have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, please reach out I would love to help you. You can also find all the items I have used listed below with links to my online store.
Until next time,
Happy Crafting
