Great Tidings Cards and Tags

 

Christmas for me is a reminder of the birth of Jesus and this Bundle points me towards the truth of Christmas. With the Magi being the focus of the Great tidings stamp set, I felt that I needed to use real and royal colours - so I've used gold and silver papers for the front of the card and coloured the Magi with rich colours - reds, blues, purples and dark green with splashes of yellow to represent gold thread.

I added texture to the foil papers by using the retired Subtle dimensions embossing folder. The Magi were stamped onto White Card, then cut out using the wise men dies and the back fellows adhered using glue while the front fellow is adhered with dimensionals to create added depth.

 

After I made these cards, I discovered that I had the center cut outs  left over and realized that they were perfect for gift tags. I added some more of the die cut Magi with a strip of scrap cardstock for the sentiment.
