Stocking Dies basic cards

One of the things I always wished I had growing up was a fire place I could hang a stocking at Christmas time. Truth be told we never even had stockings, we had Santa Sacks instead (a pillow case sided sack printed with Christmas images), which were probably better because they held way more presents!

Sometimes the old saying "Less is Best" is true and today's cards prove it.
A basic design with three stockings and a sentiment create a sleek and stunning card. These cards took a while to make because of all the die cutting required (each stocking is 4 pieces) but once all the pieces were cut they came together quickly. I used the Jolly Felt and (Retired) Be Dazzling Paper to create the stockings. I didn't think that I would like using the felt for cards - but I was pleasantly surprised how they turned out and how great they look.
Which colour stockings do you like the best - the Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight or White? I think I like the green the best - which is odd because green is not one of my favourite colours.

To make these cards, I embossed Crumb cake with the bricks and mortar embossing folder and an inch thick piece of early espresso cardstock in the bark embossing folder. These were adhered to a card base, then the stockings and sentiment were attached. And that's all there is to it - simple cards, easy to make.

You can find  list of the products I've used to create these cards below and if you live in Australia, you can click on any image to purchase it from my online store.

Well I hope you enjoyed looking at these cards,
Until next time

Happy Crafting.
